Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Murphy Door's painting department, ensuring on time and precise painting of our signature hidden bookcase doors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of skilled painters, offering mentorship, training, and performance feedback to maintain standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Collaborate closely with the production manager and other departmental heads to optimize workflow, resource allocation, and project deadlines.
- Uphold rigorous compliance with safety protocols and cutting-edge painting techniques to achieve flawless finishes on our distinctive products.
- Maintain and calibrate painting equipment and machines to ensure consistent and superior results, contributing to the upkeep of optimal performance standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of paints, coatings, and related supplies.
- Implement and enforce stringent quality control procedures, ensuring the end products surpass the expectations of our customers.
- Effectively troubleshoot any painting challenges that arise during production, swiftly devising solutions to minimize disruptions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in painting or related fields are advantageous.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience (5+ years) within a high capacity cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, or similar environment, with an emphasis on paint and stain finishing.
- Profound understanding of advanced painting techniques, color theory, and diverse finishing materials.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of skilled painters.
- Impeccable organizational and communication abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in utilizing and maintaining painting equipment, tools, and relevant software.

Murphy Door is currently looking for Personnel in the finishing department at our manufacturing warehouse. Employees must meet quality expectations as well as ensuring orders are completed according to production lead times.
Experience is preferred, but The Murphy Door is willing to train eager individuals who have no experience and are interested in the industry
MUST be able to pass drug screen.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Painting and staining cabinets and additional materials with pneumatic spray guns
- Operating an automated Flat Line finishing machine
- Sanding
- Quality checking all finished product before it leaves your station
- Updating orders on computer system
Minimum Requirements needed to apply:

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Assembly of Murphy Door products
- Installing hardware on cabinets and other add-ons such as hinging, locking systems, cabinet doors, dresser drawer slides and other items specific to the orders
- Use of various power tools such as drills, saws, and nailers
- Quality check parts after completion
- Reading and understanding cut sheets for cabinet jobs
Minimum Requirements needed to apply:
- Cabinetry experience preferred, but The Murphy Door is willing to train eager individuals who have no experience, but are looking to get into the industry
- Able to work Full time and, if needed, some overtime
- Maintain the cleanliness of work area
